The Palm trees grow well in tropical areas. They are most commonly seen throughout Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, the islands of tropical parts of the Pacific Ocean.
They have bright green leaves that grow as clusters or singularly arranged at the top of the stem. The palm trees have flowers small and white. The Palm trees grow better at the sandy areas where the roots can penetrate through the soil well, they have a high degree of heat tolerance and resistance to dry conditions.
The leaves of palm trees are sleek, long, and provide good shade. The leaves of palm trees when dried are used to make attractive products, they are considered indispensable for exquisite artworks. Once they’re fully dry, palm leaves take on an entirely different personality, becoming more sculptural, wispy, frayed, and textured. Also, once palm fronds have dried, their bright-green color fades into softer, desaturated tones of mint, sage, taupe, and tobacco, which lend a lovely aged.
The leaves upon collection, are dried under the sunlight for 2 to 3 days that make them drier and removes any traces of moisture from them. Each leaf is further split into 3 or 4 leaves with the help of a splitting tool, this gives desired pieces for specific items. These leaves can be left untouched to retain the characteristic ivory color or they can be further dyed, based on the design and other requirements. The leaves are again dried under the sun after the process of dye, the sun drying is repeated to ensure that the colors are fully absorbed by the Palm leaves.
Through the hands of craftsmen, products of palm leaf will give us a surprise in which color pattern, a completely different vibe, awakens our aesthetic senses.
